Initially i had purchased theo- simply player roku made….so i thought later performing a bit research on theo- roku online i noticed theo- company had come out withy a total of 3 players (roku sd, roku hd, roku hd-xr) once i found out that theo- roku hd-xr comes withy wireless n tech i said thats theo- one i want also returned theo- original purchase also a.m. Glad i did. Roku hd model is simply wireless g also older compatable. N is then much better. Setup was a breeze also theo- interface is then easy a caveman can do it. I have a netflix account also was excited about starting to stream also watch movies on theo- television untill i relized by browsing netflix’s watch instatnly section how little content netflix has for streaming…..bummer, but if your into movies late 80’s also older you should be good to go. theo- simply saving grace on theo- movie option is that it also has amazons movies on demand which has lately about a little movie/show you can think of for about a price of free to 5.99 depending on title to rent. Also roku is supposed to be coming out withy a roku channel soon (please link to hulu also youtube atleast!!). The quality of theo- streaming especially within hd is great (720p) also standard def is about dvd quality or lately a little less. I think roku recomends about 5mbps download speed in the manner of minimum for reliable streaming then a broadband connection should be used or else you will get dropped frames also stuttering. So far a months worth of use also no issues to date! The reason why this diddnt get 5 stars is theo- usb connection on theo- back of theo- device does nothing….at least not yet. Roku says its undertermined what its use will be as of now but i assume Roku HD-XR Player will eventually allow u to hook up an external hard drive also play movies or pictures that u allready have.
